Quote it if you call before we have written back. One person reads these, usually the same morning, and you get an answer inside one working day even when the answer is that we need a day to check something.

Where you actually are. How many people you pay, on what cycle, through what. Whether anything is outstanding with the IRS or the Department of Revenue, and roughly how far behind the books are. None of this is a test and we have heard worse.
What it would cost. Against the published figures, with the transaction count taken from your last three months rather than guessed. If we cannot give you a number on the call we will say why and give you one within two days.
When it could start. Almost always the first day of a quarter. Mid-quarter is possible and costs you a reconciliation you would not otherwise need, so we will usually talk you out of it.
Whether you should bother. If you employ two people and your books are clean, you may not need us, and that is a perfectly reasonable outcome of a free call. We would rather say it in September than have the conversation in March.
